Dr. Ghobrial received his medical degree from the prestigious Ain Shams University in Cairo, where his earliest medical training was received. After the completion of his Internal Medicine training in Philadelphia, He was appointed Chief of the Medical Residents, where he subsequently served as an Attending Physician within the Internal Medicine Department of the same institution. He was heavily involved in students and residents’ teaching with an academic title of Assistant Professor of Medicine.
Dr. G. has numerous and diverse scientific publications including medical review articles published as medical guide for internists and primary care physicians. His work was published in top medical journals, and often cited in the media, e.g. Reuters’, CNN, and Doctors’ Guide.
He presented clinical research studies in nationwide scientific meetings and received numerous awards including the American College of Physicians’ Award for a research finalist and the American Medical Association (AMA) Physician Recognition Award.
Being trained twice, and having served as a Chief for his residents, Dr. Ghobrial carries a widespread and extensive experience as an Internal Medicine physician. His appointment as an Assistant Professor of Medicine, together with the success of his scientific publications, are products of this solid background.
Dr. Ghobrial is married and has a son, Raphael. He, and his wife, Shery (a Telecom Engineer) live in Dix Hills, and are active participants in their church (St. Abraam, the Coptic Orthodox Church of Woodbury). |
